Arun Youth Projects is the community youth work of Arun Church. We're looking for enthusiastic and supportive individuals to join our strong team as Detached Youth Workers in the Littlehampton area. Detached youth work is a model of youth work practice aimed at vulnerable young people. It takes place on their own terms, in spaces like streets, cafes and parks, and at times that are appropriate to them. Each year we engage with hundreds of young people to help them be happy, safe, and recognise their potential. To do this, we run youth clubs, projects and support in the Arun area.
At Arun Church we offer a range of activities and services tailored to the needs of the local community. This includes The Wickbourne Centre, Playcentre childcare settings, CAP Debt Help, and Arun Youth Projects among others. Consequently, we keep our focus on the safety and welfare of children and young people. We offer generous holiday entitlement, a fun, supportive team environment and rewarding work.
Appointment to this post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The post is funded through the West Sussex Violence Reduction Partnership with Arun District Council.
