Do you want to make a lasting impact by helping children and young people understand their worth, build resilience, and develop safety networks that protect them from harm? Arun Church is recruiting a dedicated Youth Worker to lead one-to-one mentoring and targeted youth engagement for children and young people at risk of or affected by exploitation. This is part of Arun Youth Projects our community youth service which includes youth clubs, detached work and targeted support.

Appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

  • Salary: £16,313 per annum (year 1)
  • Hours of work: 22 hours per week (year 1), 18.5 hours per week (year 2-3)
    • Wednesday 9:30am - 5:00pm
    • Thursday 9:30am - 5:00pm
    • Friday 2:30pm - 8:30pm
  • Contract: 3-year fixed term contract until 31st August 2028

Arun Church is a vibrant organisation that is passionate about serving God and changing our community for the better. We meet on Sundays at The Littlehampton Academy and run many initiatives including CAP Debt Help, Arun Youth Projects, Playcentre childcare settings, Refresh coffee shop and social activities in addition to our Sunday services. Our offices are at the Wickbourne Centre which is owned by the Church. Consequently, we keep our focus on the safety and welfare of children and young people.
