Right now, things are tough for many people around the world. But we believe in a God who loves and cares for us, listens to our prayers and compels us to act for the good of others. Here are three ways to join us. Click the icon to jump to that section.

1. PRAY

PRAY AT 7:14AM & 7:14PM

Join millions of people globally with 24-7 Prayer and Unite714 by praying each day at 7:14am and 7:14pm. Pause to pray on your own or with your family and friends. If you prefer, you can also use the written prayers for each week (in many languages) that can be downloaded from Unite714 here.

We believe that through our prayers we can see God’s Kingdom Come. It’s time to take God at his word: to humble ourselves, to get our hearts right, to pray for the healing of our lands from the Covid-19 virus – and for an outpouring of God’s spirit in the midst of this crisis.

The Unite714 initiative is named after the Bible passage 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says: “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then i will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land.”

2. HELP

VOLUNTEER TO HELP

Littlehampton Churches Together are working with West Sussex County and Arun District Councils to providing a coordinated response for the vulnerable in our community during the coronavirus epidemic. This will include picking up shopping or medication, and friendly phone calls to those isolated. We are looking for volunteers who help to provide this service in the local area.

DONATE TO ARUN CHURCH

Your money can help!

In addition to our Sunday services, Arun Church run many projects and events for the wider community like Arun Youth Projects, PlayCentre Pre-School and Nursery, and The Wickbourne Centre. We also financially support organisations such as the Littlehampton Foodbank, CAP Debt Centre and Links International.

Since the start of the global coronavirus pandemic, we have sent £2,000 for the distribution of Emergency Food Items in Sri Lanka, UgandaLebanonIndia and Colombia.

When you donate to Arun Church, some of that money is used to support these projects.

3. CONNECT

KEEP IN CONTACT & GET INVOLVED

Right now it’s important to stay connected with people even if we can’t meet physically. As a church, we’re making sure we are keeping in contact as much as possible by emailing church members weekly, and following up with those who are more vulnerable.

In the church we have small groups called LifePods that are continuing to meet virtually, and have set-up a Facebook Group called Arun Church Connect where members are sharing stories of support and encouragement.

We also have various social media accounts where we post daily, letting the world know what the church is doing at this time. Please follow us to keep up to date, and like, comment and share to join the conversation!
